Despite the defeat conceded against Manchester United, the 11 aligned by Thomas Tuchel in Istanbul should be very close to that aligned against the Red Devils.
The PSG will no doubt be thirsty for revenge on Wednesday in Istanbul. Blame it on the unwelcome defeat conceded to Manchester United at home (1-2) on the occasion of his entry into contention in Champions League. A setback which forces the Parisians to win at the champion of Turkey under penalty of compromising his chances of qualification and being caught up for good by the crisis.
And too bad if the champions of France will have to deal with many absences or players short of rhythm. Julian Draxler (hamstrings), Marco Verratti (thigh), Juan Bernat (knee), Mauro Icardi (knee) and Leandro Paredes (thigh) are on the flank and Idrissa Gueye and Thilo Kehrer have just returned. A state of the troops which should lead Thomas Tuchel to rely on most of the players who suffered the law of the Red Devils at the Parc des Princes.
Some uncertainties remain, however. Just back from injury, Idrissa Gueye could thus make way for Rafinha at the kickoff. The other uncertainty concerns central defense. Thomas Tuchel having explained, Saturday, preferring Marquinhos in the midfield, the Brazilian could again serve as a sentry while Danilo Pereira would replace him in central defense to the detriment of Abdou Diallo.
For the rest, Alessandro Florenzi and Layvin Kurzawa are expected in the corridors, as are, of course, Angel Di Maria, Neymar and Kylian Mbappé at the forefront.
