UEFA on Thursday released the list of 27 players likely to play in the Champions League this season. With two notable absentees, Jesé and Juan Bernat.
Less than two months after the Final 8 in Lisbon, the Champions League is about to take hold. The draw took place at the beginning of the month and the 32 participants are therefore fixed on their fate. Finalist of the last edition, the PSG this time will have to do battle with Manchester United, Leipzig and Istanbul Basaksehir during the group stage.
The Parisians, who saw several executives leave this summer, including Thiago Silva, Edinson Cavani and Thomas Meunier, will be able to rely in particular on the new recruits attracted during the summer transfer window: Moise kean, Alessandro Florenzi, Alexandre letellier, Danilo Pereira and Rafinha. These four summer reinforcements have indeed been included on the list of 27 players likely to play in the Champions League alongside Neymar, Mbappé and others.
The list contains hardly any surprises, despite two notable absences, those of Juan Bernat and Jesé. Two nonetheless logical absences. Victim of a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee against Metz, the Spain left-back is unavailable for many months while his compatriot clearly does not fit into Thomas Tuchel’s plans. Note that in the event of qualification for the round of 16, PSG will have the possibility to modify this list.
Finally, three young people trained at the club were registered on list B: Bandiougou Fadiga, Kays Ruiz and Timothée Pembele.
Guardians: Navas, Rico, Letellier
