AlphaTauri team boss Franz Tost is happy that Gasly will stay with him: “Since he returned to the team last year, he has shown extremely good performances and achieved two podiums, with a second place in Brazil in 2019 and a victory in the team’s home race at this year’s Italian Grand Prix. “
The Frenchman has proven to be “extremely competitive” not only because of his driving talent. He is also able to exploit the car’s potential in every race and to give the engineers valuable feedback.
“He is mentally very strong, he is always motivated and when he sets a goal, he gives everything to achieve it,” praised Tost. “I’m looking forward to expanding this collaboration and experiencing a successful 2021 season together.”
