Bayern Munich and David Alaba have not reached an agreement on an extension. The Austrian side comes to the end of his contract at the end of the season.
The negotiations lasted for many weeks. But an agreement seems impossible without the Alaba clan led by the very greedy Pini Zahavi or (and?) The Bayern Munich don’t make a real effort.
Still, according to the German media Bild, David Alaba who wanted to leave at the end of this transfer window if negotiations for an extension failed should ultimately stay until the end of this season. Yet he is a major player for Bayern (45 appearances played last season) reigning European champion and therefore potentially a big loss.
A choice that would ultimately be constrained as Bayern have not received any formal offer for their Austrian full-back, despite being closely followed by many clubs. The Bavarian club are said to have taken on the idea of losing him at the end of next season. Alaba will even be free to unilaterally engage with any other club from January 1, 2021, 6 months from the end of his contract.
