Lukaku equals Ronaldo’s record

Romelu Lukaku’s crazy season ended on Friday in the Europa League final on Friday night.

The Belgian striker, mown down by Diego Carlos, opened the scoring on penalty for Inter Milan against Sevilla FC (5th). The former Manchester United player scored his 34th goal in all competitions and tied the record for goals for a Nerazzurro in his first season. It was Brazilian legend Ronaldo who had previously struck 34 times in 1997-1998, in his first year at Inter.

The Lombard formation nevertheless lost to the Andalusians (3-2) and it is Romelu Lukaku which offered the victory to Sevilla by deflecting in his goal a return of… Diego Carlos, in the 74th minute of the meeting.
