The France team showed a pleasant face during the big success against Ukraine (7-1). Several players, like Giroud, Camavinga and Tolisso, had a great evening.

After a few unconvincing 3-5-2 outings, Didier Deschamps opted for a 4-4-2 diamond for the friendly against Ukraine, the first meeting of a three-part series in a week for the Blues.

Environments that mark

In this system, the full-backs had room to attack, and they did it pretty well. It was also important that the midfielders show themselves offensively, and Corentin Tolisso and Eduardo Camavinga, scorers, fulfilled this mission.

A complementary duo in attack

In attack, the coach had renewed his confidence in Anthony Martial, who had a correct first half, but necessarily overshadowed by the beautiful entry of Kylian Mbappé, and especially the historic evening experienced by Olivier Giroud.
