Still on the lookout for defensive reinforcement, the ASSE leadership has reportedly made an offer for Greek defender Panagiotis Retsos.

Since the departure of Wesley Fofana for Leicester City, the leaders of the Forez club have been busy trying to attract a defensive reinforcement. According to information from the Greek media onsports, AS Saint-Etienne officials have reportedly forwarded a buyout loan offer to Bayer Leverkusen for Greece international Panagiotis Retsos.

A loan considered for Panagiotis Retsos

Returning to the Bundesliga after half a season on loan at Sheffield United, the 22-year-old defender is still unsure about his future. Capable of playing in the center line and on the left lane of the defense, Panagiotis Retsos can add a lot to Claude Puel’s squad. Recruited for 17.5 million euros in the summer of 2017, the player trained at Olympiakos will only be able to arrive in Ligue 1 on loan given the financial difficulties facing Saint-Etienne.
