Berlin (dpa) – Borussia Dortmund has at least postponed the 30th German football championship for Bayern with a last minute victory.

The leader from Munich maintained the 2-1 (1-1) home win over fourth-placed Borussia Mönchengladbach on Saturday evening, but had a seven-point advantage over BVB and can perfect the eighth championship title in a row on Tuesday in Bremen. The Revierclub prevailed on Matchday 31 at relegation candidate Fortuna Düsseldorf thanks to a late goal 1-0 (0-0).

In the relegation duel at SC Paderborn, Werder Bremen celebrated a sovereign 5: 1 (3: 0) victory and brought East Westphalia close to second-rate. In the fight against relegation, the 1st FC Union Berlin achieved a liberation blow with the 2: 1 (1: 0) success at the 1st FC Cologne.
